Hello Everyone. I am new to the network. I wanted to introduce myself. I am a Publishing/Manuscript Coach as well as Business owner. I own From A Writer's POV Online Magazine. We cater to our writers. I am a published author and have given writers and authors my personal advice on writing, becoming an author and publishign your book. I offer a handful of services and I am here to help. So please check out my profile and leave a comment or message if you feel the need to.

I look forward to hearing from all of you!

God bless

Surely most of you write short stories and/or poetry, right? When looking for places to submit, why look for them individually? Why not find a site where thousands of submission guidelines are available for you to pick and choose for your prose? Here is one site that is free to use (though they rely on donations):

duotrope

I use them faithfully. They publish a weekly newsletter, one for fiction, one for poetry. The newsletters tell you which magazine or zines are closed to submisisons, which are open, which have become defunct.

They have clickable links in the newsletter to each magazine on their site - with thousands more once you're in the site. From the site, you can click through to any magazine's website for complete guidelines - and to see if this is the type of magazine for your story. It's all there. Give them a try when you're ready to submit.

I built my site at SiteBuilt It! because my son researched all the things that sites do or don't do for people who sign up. (He has multiple sites.) It's expensive but my son paid for the first year. I've never regretted the move from my free site. I've even reserved two more names for other sites.

I have a free monthly newsletter that you might be interested in--not only to read, but to submit your material. See http://www.yvonneperry.net/Writers-in-the-Sky-Newsletter.html

I will start this topic with free Website sources. All writers and authors need a Website of their own to promote themselves and/or/ their books and services.
My favorites are www.weebly.com and www.freewebs.com because they are free and easy to use.
