- Thanks for adding me. Marketing is where I am at this stage. My first novel, the Cry of the Cuckoos, was released April 1, no fooling. I have a presence on the Internet and sold my first two copies over the weekend, one at my website where I make the most money, and one at Amazon.com where I don't make diddlysquat. My publisher has a marketing department which I am just getting to know. I don't know how much time they will spend on my book, but I am not waiting to find out. I'm on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and several ning sites like this one. I will be on blog tours soon; have already been interviewed by one group. Now it is time to hit the road in Alabama to meet a few independent book store owners, and attend a couple of book festivals. I'd like to know what you offer.
