- About Me
- I was born in Perth, Scotland in 1957 and spent my early teenage years in a psychicatric unit for adolescents.
I left home at 16 and, from 1977 to 1974, spent seven years living, working and travelling in Europe.
I have spent much of my life trying to publicise stories, poetry and music I have written, interspersed with working at odd jobs.
I am, at present, attending a computer course at Redhall Walled Garden in Edinburgh, an organisation run by SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health).

- My poems and short stories were published in many small press publications in the 1970s and '80s.
My novel "The Madhouse of Love", which I wrote at the age of 17 about my teenage years in a psychiatric unit, was published by Tetrahedron Books, a small press which I started up myself, in 1993. This was followed by a volume of poetry "Epicycles of Sinking Time" in 1997 and a volume of short stories "The Last Thing Before the Apocalypse" in 2002.
I recorded a cassette of music "All Over the Shop" on piano and synthesiser in 1996, which was distributed by Enabler Publications and which has now been recorded on to a CD which I am trying to publicise through the Internet and in shops.
"The Madhouse of Love" has recently been re-published by the leading mental health publisher Chipmunkapublishing, edited by Jason Pegler, author of "A Can of Madness".
