- About Me
- After taking early retirement from teaching, Peggy Gaffney, who had shown Samoyed dogs since 1968 and who was a life-long knitter, combined her hobbies to create a unique series of knitting books for dog lovers. Each of the Crafty Dog Knits books takes a single breed, discusses all their activities which she illustrates as charted knitting patterns to be worked into sweaters, scarves, afghans, etc. She has created five books in the series and over 100 knitting patterns. After being asked often how she did what she did, Peggy decided to explain it all by writing "Do It Yourself: Publishing Nonfiction In Your Spare Time" to teach authors how to publish their own books.

- Author/Publisher Peggy Gaffney built her own publishing house and in the last three years has written and published eight books that have sold not only throughout the U.S. and Canada but in Europe, Africa and Australia as well. She shares her methods when speaking to groups or teaching workshops. She created the knitting series The Crafty Dog Knits for dog loving knitters and the how-to book "Do It Yourself: Publishing Nonfiction In Your Spare Time.
